Mario Rosenbaum, born in 1972, first studied mathematics in Marburg and then completed his training as a specialist in computer science in Heidelberg before working for a software company for five years. His desire to spend more time with family, along with his wish to work with people rather than computers, is what initially brought him to the Dialoghaus in Hamburg. For him, one of the most exciting things about working in the dark is the ability to take away people’s fear of darkness through the use of lightless spaces. Mario explains that, “I’m particularly fascinated when seeing my guests slow down throughout the exhibit, as these days nothing is more important than taking the time out from our mobile devices and information overload.”
