I grew up in Stade as a deaf child with deaf parents, and am especially proud of this. The Deaf culture means a lot to me, which is why I have been engaged with the German Deaf Theater for many years. Touring with the theater group and performing in various cities has allowed me to get to know other deaf people from all over Germany, and to talk with them about our culture. I allow myself to blossom on stage by taking on new roles, putting on performances, and guiding the audience through stories.
Similarly, in this exhibition, it is a pleasure for me to take the visitors on a journey into a world unknown to them, allowing us to together discover new and surprising sides of ourselves.
