I was born in Schleswig-Holstein and grew up in a completely hearing family. I had no contact with deaf people or sign language until I decided to leave my nest in Flensburg and move to Hamburg when I was 18 years old. Out of pure curiosity, I began to learn sign language and took my first step into a new world, whose culture and people still captivate me to this day.
I’m especially enthusiastic about my work in communication assistance with Dialog im Stillen. I’m constantly motivated by the idea of making it easier for deaf people to effectively communicate with hearing people, and to allow the visitors to get to know more about sign language and Deaf culture without any barriers.
